A PRACTICAL QR GUIDE

QR codes for PDF Files

Share a PDF that already lives on your own website, Drive or Dropbox. QRForever does not upload or host files; the QR code points to your published link.

Dynamic: Replace the linked file later while keeping the printed QR address.

What to put behind the code

A publicly viewable PDF link that works in a signed-out browser.

Print for the place it will live

Starting size: 3 × 3 cm. This is a starting point, not a scanning guarantee. Test at handheld distance and check text readability after opening.

Use a matte insert with a short document title and revision date. Keep the four-module quiet zone intact and use dark modules on a light background. Read the print-size guide.

Where to place it

  • Document cover
  • Service desk sign
  • Product insert

Mistakes to avoid

  • Using an account-only sharing link
  • Uploading an unreadably large scan
  • Deleting an old file before updating the destination

Before committing to a print run

Print a proof on the final material. Scan it with more than one phone, from the normal viewing position. Check the opened destination while signed out and confirm it leads to the intended page or action. A readable fallback address or contact detail helps visitors who cannot scan.
