A PRACTICAL QR GUIDE

QR codes for YouTube

Put a demonstration or tutorial beside the object it explains. Link to a stable public video and tell people its topic before they scan.

Dynamic: Swap an outdated tutorial without changing the printed instructions.

What to put behind the code

The public watch URL for the exact tutorial, with captions where possible.

Print for the place it will live

Starting size: 3 × 3 cm. This is a starting point, not a scanning guarantee. Test close to the product under normal room lighting.

Keep the panel matte and outside areas likely to get wet or worn. Keep the four-module quiet zone intact and use dark modules on a light background. Read the print-size guide.

Where to place it

  • Assembly sheet
  • Workshop sign
  • Product demonstration stand

Mistakes to avoid

  • Linking to a private upload
  • Relying on audio for essential instructions
  • Removing written safety steps

Before committing to a print run

Print a proof on the final material. Scan it with more than one phone, from the normal viewing position. Check the opened destination while signed out and confirm it leads to the intended page or action. A readable fallback address or contact detail helps visitors who cannot scan.

Questions about youtube

Can I change the video later?
A dynamic code can redirect to a replacement video. A static watch URL cannot change its encoded link.
What should I test before printing?
Scan the final youtube artwork on more than one phone. Check the destination or imported details, the real viewing distance and the final printed surface.
